Myst Online: URU Live is now 100% free. Its a game that was initialy launched in 2003 as singleplayer only, but it was originally going to be a MMO before Ubisoft cancelled it just before it went live. In 2006 it was brought back to life by Gametap as a MMO but only lasted 1 year before they closed down the servers. Now Cyan have released it for free and are going to make it completely Open Source. Currently there is an official Cyan server up and running.
Myst Online: Uru Live is a massive multiplayer online game (MMOG) unlike anything else. Instead of repetitive kill/take/buy gameplay of other MMOGs, the very essence of Myst Online is to explore vast, fantastic worlds; savoring and uncovering new areas and new information at every turn. Exploring in Myst Online is an extraordinary experience, where immersing yourself in the environment gives you insight into how to move forward, and what went on before. You can explore alone, or share the journey with a select group friends or family from anywhere in the world. Create an online avatar and chat via text and voice, share images and clues, and explore the Ages of Myst Online together. You'll rediscover, restore and rebuild the ancient city of D'ni and learn about the history of its fallen civilization.
The OWS forum has been upgraded to PHPBB3 and everything seems to have been converted correctly. The site news isn't perfect (URL BBCode doesn't work) but the forum is fully skinned.
EDIT: 23/02/10 - Updated the news script so it uses the forums own files to convert the BBCode(Meaning URL's, etc now work on the frontpage as well as every other BBCode PHPBB3 uses).
I'm sorry, but I have a lot of work in forthcoming weeks and won't be able to finish all the works until Sunday (which was previously declared as the "first" deadline). Anyway, everything is going forward and the works are not going to be stopped this time, I hope. The new release date will be posted when most things will be done, probably by the end of March.
I've remade the arrays tutorial on wiki.
I think all interested in SAIL programming should consider reading this renovated article with some info that has never been revealed before.
Variables tutorial was updated as well but it doesn't contain as many new infos as the above but it's still a good idea to look through it.
Enjoy!
